Creative industries is a range of activities, some of which are amongst the oldest in history and some of which only came into existence with the advent of digital technology. Many of these activities had strong cultural roots and the term ‘cultural industries’ was already in use to describe theatre, dance, music, film, the visual arts and the heritage sector, although this term was itself controversial as many artists felt it demeaning to think of what they did as being, in any way, an ‘industry’. The concept of the ‘creative industries’, and their importance, is recognised by almost every government in the world and is beginning to give way to a much more inclusive idea of a wider ‘creative economy’.

The International Journal of Creative Industries (IJCREI) is published by Global Academic Excellence (M) Sdn Bhd (GAE) to serve academicians a platform of sharing and updating their knowledge and research outputs as well as information within the sphere of creative industries. The scope of this journal covers a multi-disciplinary and a cross disciplinary fields that include advertising and marketing, architecture, photography, advertising, culture and the relevant topics. The publication of the journal, covering such multi-disciplinary fields, provides up-to-date and ongoing overview of creative industries globally. Additionally, the readers of the journal have the insight of creative industries within a range of another dimension and need including market size, its driving factors, standards, policies and regulatory framework, ongoing issues and challenges, and prospect of global business industry.

IJCREI journal invites researchers, academicians and practitioners for the submission of research articles, and book reviews, relevant fields developing and developed countries globally. All the submissions are in English and refereed journal published quarterly (February, May, August and November). The journal aims to publish all quality submission in time to ensure the impact of research quickly conveyed, examined, and disseminated worldwide. Simultaneously, it visions to become the benchmark for the research and publications in all the fields of creative industries and promote the superior standards globally
